General Information: Septarian (also called Dragon Stone in some markets) is a sedimentary concretion featuring a distinctive pattern of yellow calcite, brown aragonite, and grey limestone that crack into angular, septum-like divisions during fossilization. These nodules formed approximately 50–70 million years ago in shallow seas.
Origin Locations: United States (Utah and Montana), Madagascar, and Morocco.
