Pink Opal

General Information: Pink Opal is a common opaque opal (hydrated silica) displaying soft, chalky pink to rose-pink tones. Found primarily in Peru, it often occurs in combination with palygorskite clay, which gives it its characteristic soft, matte appearance. It is not a precious opal and does not show play of color.
