About This Crystal

General Information: Opalite is a man-made opalescent glass, not a natural mineral. It is produced from dolomite and metal to create a glowing, pearlescent blue-white to pinkish appearance that mimics the look of natural opal. Despite being synthetic, Opalite has developed its own tradition within the crystal healing community.

Origin Locations: Manufactured — produced in glass factories globally.

Metaphysical Properties: Opalite is associated with transition, communication, and the quiet expansion of spiritual awareness. It is believed to improve communication on all levels and to remove energy blockages from the chakras. Practitioners use it to support those going through major life transitions, encouraging a clear, calm, and optimistic perspective on change. Opalite is also associated with enhancing psychic abilities and is placed under the pillow to support intuitive dreaming. Its pure, soft energy is gentle enough for beginners and sensitive individuals, creating a light, airy vibration conducive to meditation and inner stillness. Some practitioners also work with it to support sexual and romantic energy in relationships.
