Mahogany Obsidian

General Information: Mahogany Obsidian is a volcanic glass (obsidian) featuring reddish-brown to mahogany-red patches or swirls caused by iron oxide inclusions within the typical jet-black obsidian matrix. It is a naturally patterned variety of volcanic glass.

Origin Locations: Mexico, United States (Oregon and Idaho), and Japan.
