Howlite

General Information: Howlite is a calcium borosilicate hydroxide mineral forming white to cream-colored nodules with gray veining that resembles marble or turquoise in pattern. Because of its high porosity, it readily absorbs dye and is often sold dyed blue as imitation turquoise — a practice that should always be disclosed.
