Cat's Eye

General Information: Cat's Eye (most commonly Cat's Eye Chrysoberyl) is a gemstone that displays a distinctive optical phenomenon called chatoyancy — a narrow band of reflected light that moves across the surface like a cat's pupil. While chrysoberyl is the most prized variety, cat's eye effects also appear in quartz, tourmaline, and other minerals.
